Samsung is a tried and tested brand for over last 5-6 years for making a phone for masses. Most of the phones are pretty basic for basic users and the others are overly done in hardware and software for those who are so called power users. But some phones have similar hardware and software but with slight adjustments over the aesthetics Samsung puts a hefty price tag on one and budget tag on the other. This is the same case with Samsung Galaxy Core Prime.
Let's talk about its similarities with the A3 first: A Quad Core 1.2 Ghz Cortex A53 Processor with 1 GB RAM. Display Size 4.5 inches with resolution just about increased in A3. Height of both phones is same at 130 mm. The over all look of both devices is also very similar as both phones support the same Android Kitkat 4.1.1.
On the other side the phone has price cut every where, Main camera is just 5 MP while front is 2 MP. No Gorilla glass protection on the front display. But kudos to Samsung for still giving a nice battery of 2000 mAh and a pretty well rounded overall package.
The SnapDragon processor in this phone is similar to that of Microsoft Lumia 640. In our review unit the processor was always running back on power and demanding more time to process things. Main issue with this is apps as the apps a mostly now packaged for much higher RAM of lighter software like lollipop or Marshmallow. The lack of Both makes the phone lack in detail processing in even the most basic games and apps.
