As more and more scorching heat is coming our way and global warming is adding more to it. More and more of us are shifting to using AC's for cooling our houses. But, alongside the benefits of getting cool air there are a lot of losses of using an Air Conditioner and they are following.
Some of them are
- Dehydration of human body
- providing proper environment for bacteria and fungi to grow
- using a lot of electricity and increasing the bills.
- Spreading the pollutants from one part of the room to the other.
But the question is how can we make our Air conditioners more efficient so that we may get cool air but not these side affects.
Well here we present to you a solution for this. Just follow these
- Clean and wash your AC's air filters as often as possible. (The best is cleaning them once a weak if you are living in a polluted city and twice a month is greener cities)
- Clean and wash your AC's outdoor unit at least once a month.
- Always use the timer function and never let your AC run more that 3 hours continuously. Once it is turned of you can again use it after half an hour or one hour.
- Use ceiling fans along with AC to spread the cooling evenly and increase the area getting cooled by the AC.
- Use ceiling fans only if you are in a room where roof of the room is not directly facing the sun or you have installed ceiling tiles below the actual ceiling.
- Get you AC serviced by some professional at least once every two years.
- Always check that your pipes and tubing are fully covered.
- Always set your temperature at 26 C or 78.8 F in summer
- Always keep your AC 10 to 12 Degrees higher in winter (78 to 80 F or 26 to 29 C are best)
- Keep the Outdoor unit of your AC covered with something to not let it be exposed to sunlight.
