Motorola and Google Signed Contract for Ara Mobile Phones'

This is a concept yet but research has started on it. Motorola being the hardware partner and google as software partner.
But what is all this Ara project about: very simple
It is a project of mobile phones with changeable hardware components. Yes just like a PC of these days the users would be able to change the processor, camera, power supply, screen, GPU and other key components of their mobile phones in future. The companies aim to release a modular development kit (MDK) this winter. 
This concept is really applicable in normal day life as a person after this would be able to keep the same phone but enjoy different specs.
