Generation Gap is a thing being studied and discussed for centuries.
Let's find if there is any generation gap between two simultaneous iPhone generations as well.
Well for knowing that we have to compare them side by side
The first thing is size. Obviously the latest Generation is taller but thinner and yes its beautiful. 
with the iPhone 6 at 4.7" and iPhone 6+ at 5.5" The size is enormously bigger than all the previous generations of the device. 
So, if you are tired with the small 4" screen of iPhone 5 then go get the bigger one. 
But if small screen is enough for you then staying on the iPhone 5S is also not bad
Why 
Because it supports the same OS and can run almost all the apps that 6 supports.
in terms of memory now the iPhone reaches to 128 GB of memory. 
so you have a wonderful choice of built in memories of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and yes the all new 128 GB as well.
Camera is also a factor to be considered. 
But consider what because both iPhone 5 as well as iPhone 6 has the same 8 MP back camera.
