Unbox & Review: Huawei Ascend Y520

Hi Guys:

If the rumors are to be believed then Huawei is soon to have a collaboration with Google to develop the new Nexus device. Well that's for the flagship but what about the budget oriented smartphones. Huawei is not ignoring that either as it has recently released its cheapest Android Smartphone for just about 90$ the new Huawei Ascend Y520. Let's Unbox and review.

Unboxing and Design:

Box is fairly designed as it has some shots of the smartphone and specs of the phone. Out of the box you will find the smartphone, a hand free and a brick charger with USB cable. Y520 is designed in a rather decent fashion and has some design hints from Galaxy Note 3 but in a smaller size as the screen is 4.5". The bassel around has a brushed look which makes it more appealing.

Hardware and Software:

As told before the screen is of 4.5" with 480x854 resolution. Above the display is a VGA front facing camera, Around the back there is a 5 MP autofocus camera with LED flash and speaker grill. The phone is powered by a Dual Core 1.3 GHz Media tek Processor along with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory. The battery packs a punch of 1750 mAh.

The phone has Android Kitkat out of the box with Huawei's own Emotion UI up top.

Performance:

The phone shows smooth swiping through apps menu and writing messages or making calls. Apps like Online apps like Facebook, twitter and whats app all work fine. Games like Subway Surfurs and Candy Crush also work fine but please don't try heavy apps or games as you will regret it later. Both the Cameras perform OK in day light but in low light don't expect it to capture a picture without
ghostly movements.

Battery however is pretty stable as it can easily give you a day of medium usage. Over all it is a nice phone but the RAM should have been a little higher.

How to make MARS Liveable...AKA Terraforming

Hi, Ever thought that you should not live on this planet. well if you happen to be alive in 21st century you may have at least for once thought about it. Yes we all have to leave earth one day one after another via death. But is it the only way possible or is there any other way around. Indeed there is, as Scientist at NASA and other major space exploration facilities have continuously searching for a suitable planet to live on. But recent advancements have lead us to believe that searching a livable planet is by far the most difficult task as finding one is like finding needle in hay stack but they are far enough to make the task of going there as difficult as passing a camel through the pin hole. So the obvious questions remains the same can we live on other planets. The answer remarkably is yes we can, by terraforming other planets to our own needs. Remember the scene from Man of Steel movie where General Zod starts the World engine to make earth like krypton. Yes i...
