NASA's New Invention : The Space Shotgun

NASA has always been upto different kinds of inventions and this time it is now different.
According to Latest news NASA and a Company named Honeybee Robotics are jointly building a shotgun for the Asteriods.
Now, you must think that it is going to destroy those asteroids coming towards the Earth, But to your amazement it is not going to do that. Instead it is a Radar System that would measure the Asteroids Geometrical properties to see if a probe can be sent to that Asteroids or not.
According to Honey bee Robotics.
“the unknown geotechnical properties and strength of the asteroid regolith.”
The space shotgun helps lower this risk because the balls it fires at the asteroid can help scientists estimate its surface strength.
There is no working model of the space gun yet and it's still in conceptual phase, But if made it can help astronomy in lot.
and According to bgr.com
"So for example, if a ball is fired at an asteroid and it cracks open on the surface, then we’ll know the asteroid is likely sturdy enough to land on with a probe. Or if the balls bounce back off the asteroid’s surface, they should bounce back at a velocity that correlates with the rock’s overall strength. The gun could even fire balls designed to make craters in the asteroid to give researchers an estimate of how hard the surface of the asteroid might be."
And here is a Video giving further explanation of the concept.

How to make MARS Liveable...AKA Terraforming

Hi, Ever thought that you should not live on this planet. well if you happen to be alive in 21st century you may have at least for once thought about it. Yes we all have to leave earth one day one after another via death. But is it the only way possible or is there any other way around. Indeed there is, as Scientist at NASA and other major space exploration facilities have continuously searching for a suitable planet to live on. But recent advancements have lead us to believe that searching a livable planet is by far the most difficult task as finding one is like finding needle in hay stack but they are far enough to make the task of going there as difficult as passing a camel through the pin hole. So the obvious questions remains the same can we live on other planets. The answer remarkably is yes we can, by terraforming other planets to our own needs. Remember the scene from Man of Steel movie where General Zod starts the World engine to make earth like krypton. Yes i...
