Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Review: On Q Mobile Android One...First to get Android Update 6.0 in Pakistan

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,

As pledged by Google and Qmobile Pakistan we have got Android 6.0 update just a few days ago on our cellphone. As in the full review we told you that on the Box of device it is clearly written that this Android One device by Qmobile will get Android updates upto coming two years. It is not the first time that this phone has been updated by Google but few minor updates for previous Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as well.

Here are the major changes that are pleasant to talk about:

1: Icon Home Screen:

The page swiping from left to right was too main stream Apple thing that Google has now changed it for a new look of up-down show case which does not only show apps similar to that of windows phone but also has a quick app search bar above the menu.

2: New Fonts and Colors:

Right from the lock screen you ll notice that there are subtle changes made to the lock screen clock and some other fonts. There are now feature from the settings menu where you can set how well fine tuned or bold looking you want your phones fonts. There is also an option for giving black outline impression to writings for those who suffer any vision problems.

3: Themes and wallpapers:

The whole new outlook of the Marshmallow is great in it self easy to use and understand. The wallpapers that come it this package are very clear sharp and look like hand crafted.

4: Performance and Benchmarks:

On our device there is a good change of about 1000 score on Antutu Benchmark. Last time (About 3 months ago) when we reviewed the unit just a few days after taking it out of the box it showed 19000+ score which was nice for a device this cheap. Yet it has improved in bench marks now giving a battling score of 20500+ which is great. There are several minute changes that has lead to quickness in OS experience. Things like quick reply write from the message notification without going into the app make it much more quicker to say hi to you bae.

5: Issues and Errors:

With everything new the company may use a lot of trials and Beta version to perfect its products but things still remain. Issue that happened to us is that right after updating, when the phone rebooted it asked about the memory card to be set as internal or External storage. Of course we checked in with external storage. But the Phone kept on showing the notification to change it into internal and we were not able to access photos (we already did back up) by that time they were there but not showing. So  we changed it to internal storage then it was fine but the internal storage that was default got corrupted. We again changed to format was external, now its fine but we have lost our data in images and Apps installed on SD card. Thank fully we did a back up before updating. So be care full.

Hope you like it...
