With winter getting into its maxed zone we are going to give you a feel of warmth of Desert. But its not just a desert its Cholistan the desert that hosts one of the world largest Jeep Rallys in the world.
Since last ten years Pakistan has been in constant wars with terrorism but since the same last ten years Pakistan has seen many changes, Changes that shape up to have fun while in the times of stress. And what is more fun then riding your jeep in the desert dunes of Cholistan.
Lets give you a brief introduction of Cholistan before talking about the rally. The Deserts spreads over a vast area of about 26,000 plus Kms and is un deniably one of the worlds largest deserts. It runs through the Thar deserts which reach from Pakistan to India. Desert is full of history with Derwar Killa (fort) being the most famous architectural monument of the desert.
Since last ten years, in every spring the desert is liven up by the roars and growls of bewildering beasts we humans call Jeeps. Well indeed it is an off road party for not just jeeps but, land cruisers, land rovers, g wagons, hiluxes well you name it you will find it spreading its wings here. As we have said it is a party which not only hosts rally races but offers delicious foods (Seekh kabab and Batair Roast being the most sort after foods) and extravaganza culture of the Indus vally in the form of dramas and cultural shows.
This whole experience not only for male drivers but females also take part proudly and families come to witness the rallies and enjoyment.The rally is now witnessed by about 200,000 people live and millions more on TV. This year about a hundred drivers will challenge their guts to know what it takes to go through the Cholistan Rally.
